Joey passed away on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 in Providence, RI.

Joey was born on November 9. 1982 in Providence, RI to Henrique Vieira of Pawtucket, RI and Yolande DeBurgo Lima of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Joey leaves behind two sisters, Jacqueline Metayer and Kassandra DeBurgo Dass of Fort Lauderdale, FL. Joey is also survived by four nephews, Rashad Bhaiji, Amir Bhaiji, Sean Metayer and Armani King Dass, his maternal grandmother, Margarida DeBurgo, his uncles, Lucas Dias and Jose Burgo, Orlando DeBurgo and Jean Deburgo, his aunts, Ana Goncalves, Maria Andrade, Lucia Vieira and Ludovina Barros. His best friends and cousins Jose Dias (ZeZe) and Adelino Garcia (Lino), as well as many other cousins and friends.

Joey was an amazing soul, full of life and love. He was a protector, the perfect gentleman and everyone was his best friend. He enjoyed dancing and partying and family was everything to him. He was also a devoted wrestling fan and an avid supporter of the soccer league Benfica.

Joey lived in Florida for a few years with his mother and two sisters. He graduated from South Plantation High School Class of 2001. After graduation, he moved back to RI where he has been living with his Dad. With his friendliness and charismatic personality, Joey touched the lives of everyone he met. Joey was loved by everyone and will be greatly missed.

For those who would like to say their final farewell, calling hours will be on Tuesday, November 2, 2021 from 4pm-7pm at Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln, RI. A mass of burial will be officiated on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at 10:00 am at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church at High St Pawtucket, RI. Burial will be held at the Walnut Hill Cemetery, Pawtucket, RI.
